Limoncino Bottega is an Italian liqueur, also known as limoncello. It dates back to the late 1800s and is made by infusing the peel of Femminello lemons. This lemon variety, popular in Italy, has a thin peel rich in essential oils and blooms throughout the year. During the production process, the lemon peels are infused in alcohol for around 30 days, after which the liquid is separated and sugar and grappa are added, giving the liqueur its characteristic flavor. Limoncino is ideal as an ingredient in aperitifs, as an after-dinner shot or with ice cream, sorbet and fruit salad.
