In 1879, Swedish Lars Olsson Smith introduced continuous distillation, which he used to make Absolut Rent Brännvin. Instead of distilling the usual three to four times, the vodka was distilled countless times. Absolut Pears is made in the same way, the only difference is the taste. Like the rest of the range, it is produced in Åhus, the birthplace of L.O. Smith.

Absolut Pears is fresh and delicate in the mouth, presenting a deep pear flavor and a long fruity finish.

Absolut Pears is made exclusively from natural ingredients and unlike some other flavored vodkas, it contains no added sugar. The main ingredient in Absolut Pears is Absolut Vodka and pear. Absolut Vodka contains water and wheat. The water comes from a deep well in Åhus, where it is protected from impurities. Winter wheat is different from other crops: it is planted in the fall and harvested the next. In between days, the wheat grows under the Swedish snow and gets its hard grains. Of course, the pear flavor is also natural like the rest of the ingredients.
