In 1972, the only two distilleries on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia joined forces for a very special project: to create a premium rum that would represent the island’s legendary St. Lucian rum. The production was overseen by Laurie Barnard, who at the time was Chairman of the company.
Chairman’s Reserve St. Lucia Rum is a blend of column and pot still distilled rums both with an average age of approximately 5 years. The rum is aged in American oak previously used for whisky. Its aroma has notes of honey, vanilla, fruits, spices and sweet smoke, and the alcohol is very well balanced on the palate.
The result is the overwhelmingly flavorful St. Lucian rum – known for its harmonious, rounded finesse and impressive character. A delicious everyday rum that can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails.
