Product description:
Aged fifty/fifty in old American oak bourbon barrels and old Oloroso sherry casks respectively. The color is dark golden and the aroma is intense and full of character. Good structure with silky barley notes with a hint of Oloroso sherry lurking in the background. Dalmore 12 Years Old is elegant with distinct aromas of orange, orange marmalade and spices. The taste is more elegant than muscular. The old Oloroso casks have done their part to make Dalmore 12 Years Old appear deliciously warm and powerful, but still very harmonious.
A hint of citrus brings the flavor together and teases the middle part of the tongue. An abundantly beautiful long aftertaste that rewards the drinker. A highly regarded Highland Malt!
The name Dalmore is Old Gaelic and means “The Great Meadow”. Founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, the distillery is located on the coast of the Cromarty Firth, overlooking the rich and fertile ‘Great Meadow’ of the Black Isle. The clean and clear water used for Dalmore Malt Whisky is taken from the nearby Alness River. The Dalmore is a whisky that satisfies all your senses.
