Hutchison’s Ginger Wine is a “Ginger Wine” that dates back to the beginning of this century. It was one of Scotland’s most enterprising wine merchants, J.G. Thomson, who came up with the idea for a ‘Ginger Wine’. He commissioned one of his employees, Robert Hutchison, to make this special recipe, which is based on a blend of ginger roots, chili, cloves, clover and alcohol.

The Scots use ginger wine to make a “Whisky Mac” – where ginger wine is mixed into whisky. It takes the sharp taste of many blends and adds the mild flavor of ginger.
