Rum came late to Panama – the first rum was distilled in 1908, five years after the country seceded from Colombia. This is the Cuban rum tradition, which means small batches distilled in old copper stills, soft richness, lots of tobacco and caramel, some vanilla and a round and long finish.

The bouquet of this Malecon Reserva Superior 12 has notes of dried fruits and orange. The taste is fruit, vanilla and cask.
