Monin Syrup Amaretto 70 cl
Product description:
Monin Syrup Amaretto is based on the classic Italian sweet almond-flavored liqueur and apricot kernels. Characterized by the distinctive taste of the bitter almond, the name Amaretto means ‘a little bitter’ in Italian.
It is said that Monin Syrup Amaretto dates back to the Italian Renaissance. Legend has it that in 1525, artist Bernardino Luini, a student of Leonardo Da Vinci, was commissioned to paint a fresco of the Madonna of the Miracles in Saronno. He chose a beautiful local innkeeper to inspire his portrait of the Madonna. As a gift to show her gratitude and devotion, she stuffed apricot kernels in cognac and presented the resulting amber liquid to Luini.
Monin Syrup Amaretto presents a natural range of colors and a strong almond and peach aroma, accompanied by a bittersweet taste of almond and fruity notes that continue into the aftertaste.
Monin Syrup Amaretto can be used to make a luxurious Tiramisu Cappucino and many other tempting Italian desserts and drinks.
