Ravnsborg Rød is a round and fruity red ale with a solid malt character that is nicely balanced with aroma hops. The beer is light mahogany brown with a reddish tinge and has an unfiltered appearance with cream-colored foam. The aroma is dominated by caramelized malt and a strong hop aroma that adds fruity notes, including a hint of strawberry. The taste is full-bodied and almost creamy with a distinct malty flavor of dried fruit, caramel and a slight sweetness mixed with fruity hops. The bitterness is well balanced and the aftertaste is fruity and malty, with a medium-long duration. Ravnsborg Red goes well with roasted meat dishes, stews, home cooking such as minced beef and meatballs, and most cheeses.
