Underberg is a world-renowned German herbal bitter that has been produced by the Underberg family since 1846. The making of Underberg is a well-kept secret that only some members of the Underberg family and two Catholic priests know about. Today, the 5th generation of the family carries on the proud traditions.

Underberg bitters are composed of no less than 43 different herbs from around the world. Underberg contains only water, alcohol and herbal extracts and is aged for several months in Slovenian oak barrels. It is a digestif, which means it is a digestive aid.

The scent has herbs, spices and a hint of “Christmas”. The herbs recur in the taste, which unfolds with a slightly sweet note. It has a harmonious and rich taste of herbs.
