Wester Haws Oil, also known as a crude oil shot, is based on a delicious combination of raw licorice mixed with secret ingredients. This wonderful combination results in the familiar taste of English licorice.

The recipe originated in Esbjerg, where the “drillers” came in from the wind-blown oil platforms on the North Sea and needed a refreshment after their hard work at sea.

Wester Haws Oil is best enjoyed in a shot glass, either cold or at room temperature, with a cold beer.
