As children, brothers Claus and Michael Braunstein spent a good part of their summer vacation every year helping their grandfather gather porc and blackberries along the west coast of Jutland so he could make his spiced schnapps. The mission of Braunstein’s distillery was to relaunch the Danish schnapps, rooted in their grandfather’s old recipes, for the Danish lunch tables.

The inspiration for Braunstein Beer Schnapps comes from Germany, where many small breweries have a small distillery attached that makes brandy from the beer. This beer schnapps is distilled from bock beer and aged in French chestnut barrels, which gives it a special sweetness.

Braunstein Beer Schnapps presents an aroma of freshly sawn wood, cappuccino and ripe fruit, accompanied by a round, mild and soft taste that is also harmonious, warm and straightforward.
