Product description:
Ceshia is the oldest distillery in Friuli, dating back to 1886, when Giacomo Ceschia began distilling on the farms of the winegrowers of Nimis.
Don Giacomo fermented the pomace by placing it in barrels and covering them with grape leaves, earth and ash. The casks were sealed for at least three weeks before distillation, during which time the winemakers waited for Giacomo Ceschia to come back and distill the contents of their casks.
Ceschia still uses the same manufacturing techniques that are the hallmark of true craftsmanship that Ceshia is famous for.
Named after the ancient city of Nimis, Nemas Grappa Friulana is an exquisite distillate of various pomace from this area. Before bottling, the grappa is aged for at least two years in steel barrels, giving it its perfectly round taste.
Grappa Nemas Friulana can be enjoyed as an elegant, smooth and delicate end to a good dinner or as “that little extra” with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
