This rum is double aged in white oak barrels for up to 5 years. The finished product is filtered through layers of charcoal and the end result is a Cuban rum that is mild, dry and delicate. A rum that is slightly sweeter than the old formula, and with more hints of vanilla. The vanilla is naturally infused from the casks, giving a more pleasant product. This new formula is specially developed for the classic Cuba Libre, but it also works well with other long drinks, cocktails, on the rocks or straight. SCENT: Vanilla, cinnamon, honey and light tobacco. TASTE: Powerful and complex. Yet it has a silky smooth characteristic found in all Havana Club rums.
