Jim Beam Devil’s Cut has a dark golden copper color. The aromas are intense of oak barrels with light spicy hints. The taste is also intense, but also very well balanced by the characteristic oak notes and light sweet hints of vanilla.

When a Bourbon is aged, part of the spirit in the cask is lost due to evaporation – called the “angel’s share”. After aging, the bourbon is removed from the cask and a certain portion of the whiskey is trapped in the wood of each cask. This is called the devil’s cut.

To make Jim Beam Devil’s Cut an extraordinary experience, Jim Beam has developed a proprietary process that actually draws out the rich whiskey liquors that have settled in the wood of the barrel after the barrels are emptied. Jim Beam holds this cask extract until they develop the right balance of bourbon notes, this is eventually blended with an extra-aged bourbon. The result is a robust, premium bourbon with deep color, aroma and character.
