Sun-dried organic coconut flakes are added to a base of rum from Belize, bringing out the naturally occurring tropical nuances of the rum. The coconut flakes are lightly toasted, leaving a rich nutty flavor. Coconut water is then mixed in to lower the alcoholic strength and give the rum a softer texture. Finally, Spirited Union added a hint of vanilla and Peruvian raw cacao to both highlight and compliment the coconut flakes. Together, the result is an incredibly round and flavorful rum that gives tropical cocktails such as the Piña Colada and Jungle Bird a whole new expression.
