Ardbeg is a whisky distillery on the Scottish island of Islay and was founded in 1815. Ardbeg whiskies are known for their strong smoky and peaty flavors that are characteristic of Islay whiskies in general.

Ardbeg Uigeadail is a unique Ardbeg in the series. It is not cold filtered and therefore has maximum flavor. It is a cask strength version of 54.2% and a blend of two maturations, one in bourbon and one in old sherry casks.

The aromas have sour smoke, sweet smoke, light sherry, dry with a scent of food and beach bonfires.

The flavor is sweet, smoky and spicy with notes of salt and pepper. It is powerful on the tongue, with a hint of lime flavor. The finish is long, pleasant and smoky, with spices and light sherry at the very end.
