As children, brothers Claus and Michael Braunstein spent a good part of their summer vacation every year helping their grandfather gather porc and blackberries along the west coast of Jutland so he could make his spiced schnapps. The mission of Braunstein’s distillery was to relaunch the Danish schnapps, rooted in their grandfather’s old recipes, for the Danish lunch tables.

Braunstein Slåensnaps combines the classic schnapps with the best of the sloe fruit, which is closely related to both cherries and plums.

Braunstein Slåensnaps presents an intense aroma with sweet nuances of plum, amarena cherry, orange peel, dark chocolate and vanilla, the overall impression is reminiscent of rum and armagnac, which is accompanied by a taste that shows great consistency with the aroma, with a charming impression of fresh fruit that completes an incredibly pleasant schnapps.

Braunstein Slåensnaps goes incredibly well with herring and spicy matjes fillets.
