How to use an incense stick:
Find a suitable holder
Use an incense holder or bowl that is made for the purpose, so the ashes can fall safely and not set anything on fire. There are many types – from wooden holders with a groove to ceramic bowls.

Light
Use a lighter or match to light the thin end of the incense stick (the one with the fragrance mixture). Let the flame burn for a few seconds.

Blow out the flame
When the tip glows and smoke starts to appear, gently blow out the flame. The stick should glow and emit a thin stream of smoke – do not burn with an open flame.

Place it in the holder
Place the incense stick in the holder so that it is secure and stable. Make sure it is well away from flammable materials such as curtains, paper or plants.

Enjoy the atmosphere
Let the incense burn and fill the room with its scent. A typical incense stick burns for approximately 30-60 minutes depending on length and type.

Tips:
Air out after use, especially in small spaces.
