Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whiskey is a new whiskey from Jameson that has been aged in casks previously used to store Irish stout. In 2013, the Jameson master distillery met the brewmaster from Cork’s Franciscan Well Brewery and decided to send some Jameson barrels home with him to see how it would influence their handcrafted Irish stout. After the beer was bottled, the casks were sent back to the Jameson distillery and with their new stout character, they decided to use them again for Jameson Whisky.

Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whiskey still has the smoothness of the triple-distilled Jameson Original, but the additional notes from the stout casks make it a different Jameson. This one is infused with notes of cocoa, coffee, butterscotch and a hint of hops. The finish is long and offers a sweetness of milk chocolate and butterscotch.
