Continuing our partnership with Flint Knoll Winery, Macanudo Estate Reserve Release No. 2 features tobacco aged in the world’s finest French oak barrels used to produce Flint Knoll’s prestigious Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

For the second release of Macanudo Estate Reserve, we aged Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco in the French oak barrels used to create Flint Knoll’s Royal Appointment Cabernet Sauvignon. Royal Appointment Cabernet is born from the 2019 growing season in Napa Valley, which was a warmer season with the perfect combination of early season rain and hot summer days. Royal Appointment Cabernet is complex and fruit-forward with spice, ripe tannins and exceptional length. These characteristics are lent to the barrels for a unique and distinctive effect on the cigar smoking experience.

Aging tobacco in these French oak barrels gives the wine nuances, making each expression unique to the year in which it was influenced. Those who enjoy Macanudo Estate Reserve Release No. 2 should expect a cigar spicier than the original release with notes of creamy vanilla, toasted almonds, dark currants and cedar.
