Winemaker Ana Urbano is behind this delicious port made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão grapes from the Douro Valley in Portugal. Klassen Tawny is a golden port with sweet aromas of berry compote. The wine is harmonious with a hint of oak and vanilla.
Production
Winemaker Ana Urbano is behind this delicious port made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinto Cão grapes from the Douro Valley in Portugal. The port ferments with the grape skins at controlled temperatures (24-28°C), when the grapes reach the desired sweetness the fermentation is stopped by adding brandy (77%), then the port matures in oak before bottling.
