This blended whisky is produced at the Eigashima – or White Oak – distillery, which was founded in 1888. Akashi takes its name from Akashi-shi, the southern Japanese city where the distillery is located.

This is the entry-level bottling from Akashi, so it’s as easy to drink as you’d expect. The taste offers lovely notes of stone fruit, citrus, light oak and vanilla.
