Ferreira Dona Antónia is a Premium Reserva port from Ferreira, today the world’s leading wine producer and Portugal’s largest brand. The Premium Reserva port is made as a tribute to the charismatic Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, who led the company in the 1800s and instilled values that have given the company the status it has today. Dona Antónia Reserva is made from a blend of traditional red grapes – Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Cão, Tinta Amarela and others – all hand-picked and carefully selected from Ferreira’s best fields in the Upper Corgo region.

Premium Reserva port from Ferreira is aged in oak barrels. The selected wines in the blend are between 4 and 12 years old. The finished blend has an average age of approximately 7 years. The gradual maturation is continuously monitored

by Ferreira’s skilled oenologists who, after several tastings, finally put together the final blend.

The wine has a beautiful red color with a tawny hue, reminiscent of the long barrel aging. The bouquet

is very intense and nuanced with notes of ripe fruit (plum, apricot, jam) and flowers. The taste is complex with spicy notes and hints of dried fruit. A full-bodied, nuanced and extremely well-balanced wine that combines elegance with a delicate, persistent finish.

Ferreira Dona Antónia should be served slightly chilled – enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to selected starters, as well as with desserts and mature cheeses.
