Unlike other gins, the alcohol base in Gold 999.9 is made at the distillery where the entire process takes place. After obtaining this alcohol base in the first distillation, it is distilled twice more to improve its quality and blend it with the different botanicals. The entire process takes place in pot stills that have been part of the distillery for centuries and part of the process is still in the gold pot still that inspired this small-batch distilled gin handcrafted and lovingly created to achieve the perfect product in each distillation.
It presents a complex gin where juniper, mandarin, fresh flowers, spices, almonds and vanilla live together and mix with Angelica root to provide balance. A delicate hint of juniper in the base through which mandarin and fresh floral notes powerfully embrace the juniper, ending in a lovely finish with almonds and vanilla.
It was recommended to serve it with a tart apple and original tonic water to balance the sweet and tart mandarin.
