It is made from dried plants, flowers, and pure essential oils, and once dried, the incense is rolled by hand around a bamboo stick. These incense sticks are a type of incense traditionally burned most often in front of an Indian religious image, idol, Buddha statue, or shrine. In modern times, burning these bamboo sticks can serve any purpose, such as improving the scent in a room. Light the incense stick at the tip, blow out the flame, and place the stick in an incense holder. Do not allow the glowing tip or hot ashes to come into contact with flammable materials.
