Lagavulin is not for the faint hearted, but it is one of the most popular malt whiskies.

Lagavulin 16 year old whisky is matured in oak casks to give it the massive peat and smoke flavors typical of southern Islay. It also offers a dryness that turns this whisky into a really interesting dram.

Serve in traditional whisky glasses, either neat or with a drop of water. The water helps to release the oils in the whisky for an even more intense aroma and flavor. Every drop clearly bears the mark of great character and craftsmanship to perfection.

On the nose, an intense scent of smoked peat with seaweed and a slight sweetness. When it hits the tongue, the flavor is sweet with hints of wood and then offers a long smoked peat and salty finish.
