But what can the smart one do better? First of all, there’s the faster heating time, which thanks to the improved double coil heat exchanger takes just under 40 seconds.

Then the ‘Volcano Hybrid’, which is also based on convection technology, offers two options to breathe in the usual rich, high-quality steam:

Either use the classic balloon system where the valve balloon is first filled with the aromatic vapor and then inhaled. Or you can inhale directly with the new swivel hose system! By improving airflow, this can be done without a pump, only the traction and lung volume of the user determines the amount of vapor inhaled. So everyone can design the pleasure of steam according to their personal preferences and circumstances. Plus, you don’t necessarily need both hands for direct inhalation via tube, which is especially appreciated by gamers.

The digital display still impresses with real-time display of target and actual temperature. As a further innovation, there are now non-abrasive and easy-to-clean touchscreen buttons that add to the already great usability of all ‘Vulcans’. Motorically disabled people in particular will love it. In any case, the ‘Volcano Hybrid’ is the perfect vaporizer for patients who want to inhale their medication at home thanks to its ease of use and excellent performance.

Another new feature is the extremely convenient app control of the device via a Bluetooth connection. All settings of the smart vaporizer can be made conveniently and remotely with the STORZ & BICKEL app using a smartphone (compatible with all ‘iOS’ and ‘Android’ devices).

In addition to the pump interval control, this of course also includes the precise temperature selection in the range 40°C – 230°C (104°F – 446°F). With configurable workflows, you can also create individual temperature sequences. A timer can also be used for automatic shutdown, saving energy. Firmware updates are also possible.
