Unicum Riserva is doubly unique because it ages not just once, but twice in 2 very different but special barrels.

It is first aged in the largest and oldest casks in the distillery, which have been at Unicum for 80 years. Over the decades, the wood has received a coating called “black honey” that gives Unicum Riserva even more depth and character.
It is then put into barrels from the famous Hungarian winery Tokaji Aszu’s barrels, which have given flavor to the famous Hungarian wine for many years.

Unicum Riserva is born when the bittersweet taste of Unicum meets the sensual sweetness of Tokaji – making the Riserva mild yet spicy and fruity, with notes of dried apricots and a taste of herbs and mint providing a cool breeze.
To complete Unicum Riserva, Tokaji Aszu 2007 Vintage is blended to highlight the unique mix of flavors.
