The Applicant is an approachable and tasty white wine that delivers at a comfortable price point. This is an inviting Chardonnay with intense aromas of ripe, tropical fruits. The taste is round and full-bodied with fresh and lively acidity.

The grapes for this wine all come from the Maule Valley. The care of the vines aims to maximize the amount of sunshine in the area where the fruit ripens. The shoots are trained vertically, improving sun exposure and maximizing the aromatic components of the grapes. The ripe grapes are hand-harvested to ensure they reach the cellar intact, where they are pressed in pneumatic presses for the best must quality. After a natural gravity clarification, the must is fermented for about 20 days at 14-16 degrees, after which the young wine is aged “sur lie” on the lees for further richness.

The Applicant is tempting as a glass “just because” or as an accompaniment to chicken, light fish, light pasta dishes and green salads.
