This Ripasso from Tenuta da Mar is a full-bodied and exciting wine with a lovely complexity, produced from Covina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes. The grapes are grown on the hills close to Verona, where the soil is characterized by limestone. The grapes are hand-picked at the end of September. To protect them from too much pressure, they are collected in small 10 kg boxes.

The first fermentation takes place for 30 days in steel tanks. The must is then blended with lees from pressed Amarone grapes to give the wine extra body – fermentation continues for 20 days in steel tanks. The wine spends the following 18 months in oak barrels of varying sizes, after which the wine is bottled.

The color is deep ruby red. The bouquet is characterized by blueberry, cherry and a spicy finish. The taste is intense, full of body and pleasant aromas. An elegant and slightly powerful wine that Tenuta da Mar can certainly be proud of.

The wine can be enjoyed with roasted and grilled meat and ripe cheese.
